At the LIC, many enthusiastic staff from both ULB and VUB are ready every day to ensure your experience is as enjoyable as possible. There is also a fantastic team of student advisors who are happy to answer all your questions and help you find your way around the building. During our opening hours, you will find LIC staff at our info desk.

Opening hours
From Monday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., with only a few exceptions:
- Closed on January 1 and December 25.
- When both ULB and VUB have lecture-free weeks, the LIC is open daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. In 2025, this applies during the following periods:
- July 5 to July 31
- September 6 to September 21
We’re happy to welcome external visitors (non-VUB or ULB) to study and work in the LIC—just please note that access for external visitors is not available during exam periods. During these times, access is restricted to VUB and ULB students and staff (unless external visitors are attending an event).
Exam periods for 2025 are:
- 19 May to 4 July
- 1 August to 5 September
