The LIC is a shared project of Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). Opened in May 2025, this brand-new hub with its near-zero energy design offers a wide range of study spots, meeting rooms, collaborative classrooms, and inspiring event spaces.
Everyone studies and works differently, and that’s exactly what the LIC is designed for. Whether you’re looking for a quiet corner to focus, a room to brainstorm with your team or a dynamic space to host an event, you will find it here. We know that inspiration doesn’t always strike between 9 and 5, so the building stays open long enough to fit every rhythm. You can visit the LIC every day from 8:00 to 23:00, almost all year round. Also, we are happy to welcome visitors from outside VUB and ULB, except during our busy exam periods.
The LIC aims to bring people together: students, staff, researchers, companies, policymakers and anyone curious to connect, create or discover. It’s a space where ideas meet, evolve, and grow.
